Product description

Where hands shape what connects heart and earth

Sometimes a collaborative project begins not with a plan, but with a cup of tea. The friendship between Growing Karma and Studio Moki at Lake Mellensee has given rise to something special – a matcha bowl in the classic Mayu Gata shape, wrapped in the soft pink of a cherry blossom: Sakura.

This limited edition embodies what words can hardly capture – time, silence, trust. Each piece was formed, glazed, and fired by hand. No two are alike. Each bowl is a quiet, unique piece, glowing like a petal in its own unique hue – sometimes delicate, sometimes more vibrant, but always vibrant.

The shape of the cocoon – support and openness at the same time

The Mayu Gata shape rests calmly and balanced in the hand. Round, soft, and with a gentle curve that adapts to your gesture. The bowl's rim is finely crafted – when your lips touch it, you feel the stillness of a well-considered shape that naturally nestles into your mouth. As if designed to gently release the first aroma of matcha.

Rough as earth beneath – firmly rooted like a cherry tree

The lower part of the matcha bowl is unglazed. It feels rougher – intentionally. It represents the soil that supports, nourishes, and stabilizes the cherry tree. When you grasp the bowl, you feel this contrast: smooth like a blossom on top, firm like a root on the bottom. It's precisely this connection that gives you stability. The surface rests securely in your hand, even when your fingers are still wet from the water.

This turns every tea ceremony into a tactile experience – not only for your palate and nose, but also for your hands.

A bowl like a poem

Food-safe, finely balanced, and crafted with genuine dedication – this limited-edition matcha bowl speaks of the gentle awakening of spring, the gentle beauty of a bowl of tea in your hands, and how shared values can create something lasting. Perhaps it will become part of your ritual – and touch you with its timeless elegance.

Cherry blossoms fall
Leaves shine bright green
Bowl, still and clear.
