Germany's largest tea farm has been under construction since 2022 on the outskirts of the lively metropolis of Berlin. A project dedicated to the cultivation of the tea plant Camellia sinensis. The basis for the production of green, black, white tea, oolong, pu erh, matcha and countless other specialties.

The visionary founder of Germany's largest tea farm, Antje has set herself the goal of opening a new chapter in the history of tea cultivation. The guardian of nature and a child of sustainable agriculture, she brings her deep connection to nature to the forefront of our tea farm. Her commitment to climate-positive practices and deep understanding of cultivation techniques form the backbone of our green tea offerings. Each leaf is a manifestation of dedication to cultivating tea with the utmost respect for the environment.

Antje grew up among cattle and sheep and came to tea via winemaking and e-commerce. With a deep-rooted passion for nature and sustainable agricultural practices, she and her husband Rüdiger decided to create something new together.

Together they embark on a journey to redefine Europe's tea landscape. In 2022, they took the first step towards creating a home for tea lovers and people seeking peace, centering and connection with the processes of nature with the acquisition of the farm in Schünow, 20 minutes from Berlin.

This sentence describes Roman perfectly. Anyone who has someone like him on their team can count themselves lucky. He is a real all-rounder who is not afraid of a challenge. He has been with us at Growing Karma for many years and has thrown himself into our adventure with full commitment from the very beginning. He not only ensures that all the machines and equipment in the company are working, but also that everyone in the team is well supported.

Roman used to be a master butcher and managed a large team. He now brings this experience to our projects, whether it involves thousands of tea plants, construction projects or our growing machine park. His versatility and organizational talent make him indispensable.

What makes Roman stand out is not just his craftsmanship, but his big heart. He is always there when he is needed, and his positive charisma ensures a harmonious working environment. A real man for all occasions - with his heart in the right place!

With the acquisition of a farm not far from the gates of Berlin in 2022, the first step towards our mission was taken.

Our vision is the sustainable and responsible production of tea in Germany. It sounds crazy and ambitious—we see this as the future of tea in Europe. By cultivating Camellia sinensis in Germany, we are ushering in a new era of tea production—real tea, from the heart of Germany—we will make history.

Think first - then do!

Wine and philosophy have shaped Philipp's life to date. As a trained winemaker and studied oenology, he built up a winery in Brandenburg and came to our midst through the collective idea. The idea of ​​integrating local producers who share our philosophy of sustainability and holistic agriculture into the Growing Karma collective convinced him that this was the right place for his work.

He now uses his enormous sensory abilities to delve deeper and deeper into the diverse world of tea and has now become our tea master.

Growing Karma also benefits from his know-how in cultivation and processing in terms of production. His first-class products from the vineyard will perfectly complement our portfolio in the future.
