Location

Choose a partially shaded to sunny spot for your tea plant in the garden, on the balcony, or in a large pot. A sheltered spot where the plant receives morning sun and some afternoon shade is particularly suitable.

Floor

Camellia sinensis prefers slightly acidic, humus-rich, and well-drained soil. Use our specially developed substrate , rhododendron or peat soil, mixed with a little sand or perlite if necessary to avoid waterlogging.

Water

Keep the soil evenly moist, but never soggy. The tea plant doesn't tolerate waterlogging. Ideally, water with soft rainwater or filtered tap water to avoid limescale deposits.
