Buy tea plants - Our path to sustainable tea cultivation in Germany

When we launched Growing Karma in 2023, our goal was to establish a sustainable tea plantation in Germany. In Schünow near Zossen, Brandenburg, we cultivate the tea plant Camellia sinensis as part of a diverse permaculture system.

Our philosophy

We grow all our tea plants from seeds sourced from organic farms in Nepal, the Himalayas, and northern China. These regions have similar climatic conditions to Brandenburg, which helps our plants adapt well.

Sustainable cultivation

Our cultivation is based on permaculture principles. We avoid chemical additives and promote biodiversity. Although we don't yet have organic certification, we work according to organic standards.
